Isaiah 30:18 says, “And therefore will the Lord wait, that He may be gracious unto you, and therefore will He be exalted that He may have mercy upon you: for the Lord is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for Him.”

A portion of waiting for the Lord is waiting as a waiter serves a person. They are busy pleasing the one they are working for. Well, my every day adventures with God are just that. Consciously thinking, “What can I do to please you Lord? Who will I get to share your word with today?”

Today I heard Marsha was in the hospital. I had a Christmas gift and card for her that I hadn’t gotten to deliver yet, so I took it to the hospital. As I was leaving church, one of our secretaries told me of another man who was at the same hospital. I always have Christian magazines to give away (that’s a way of sharing God’s word). As I walked into the hospital, I wished people, “Happy Valentine’s Day” and “God Bless You” and gave them a magazine. I had a great visit with Marsha and gave her doctor from Pakistan a “Jesus” DVD in his language.

After visiting the other man in CCU, a lady called my name. It was another family who used to come to the church, so I visited and prayed for their Dad and each of his daughters, ministering healing to them. Upon leaving the hospital I ran into Marsha’s husband and their son and had a joyful encounter!

Last, but not least, later that evening I went to get gas at a station where long ago, a man from India who worked there said he did not want my magazines. Well, that night I asked him what his language was and he said, “Punjabi.” I just so happened to have a “Jesus” DVD in Punjabi, which he received gladly.

Waiting on God is fun!
