Zachary Rozgonyi (roz-GON-ee) has spent most of his life attending South Hills Assembly of God. A native of Pittsburgh, he has served in various ministries at South Hills. In 2004, during the annual Youth Fall Retreat, while serving as a youth leader, he realized God’s call to ministry. While still unsure of the specifics of this call, this event led him to change the trajectory of his education and pursue ministry degrees. He holds a Master of Divinity degree and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies degree from Liberty University and has a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double-major in Christian Ministries and Philosophy from Geneva College.
Before clearly understanding God’s call to full-time ministry in 2016, Zach had served in several areas of ministry over the last sixteen years, including leading small groups for youth and young adults, and serving as a guitarist and worship leader throughout that time. His greatest areas of passion in ministry are the Millennial generation, discipleship, worship/music ministry, and sound biblical interpretation, culminating in the growth and development of a follower of Jesus Christ who desires to help educate and equip other Christ-followers.
While serving on the youth worship team in 2003, Zach met his wife, Lauren, while both were still members of the South Hills Assembly’s Satellite Youth student ministry. Zach and Lauren have been married since 2008, and have served together in different areas of ministry. They are looking forward with excitement to what God has in store for the people of South Hills!
